BIKE RIDING:
Bikes may be ridden from sun-up to sun-down. NO NIGHT RIDING.

CHANGES TO SITES:
Any change to site including but not limited to, decks, sheds, trailer placement, landscaping, etc. must be approved by the management. If the site is to be vacated any and all personal property and belongings must be removed from the park and the site must be left 100% clean. Anyone not doing so will be assessed a clean up fee. Any trees, flowers, shrubs, landscaping, or gravel added to your site is done so knowing that these items cannot be removed if you vacate the site.

DROP OFF BOX:
An after hours drop off box will be located at the store. If you have guests come into the park, you must deposit the money or an IOU with the names of your guests. For any guest found not registered, the rate will be tripled: i.e., overnight instead of $5.00 it will be $15.00 day, instead of $3.00 it will be $9.00.
You are responsible for your guests.

DUMP STATIONS & PUMPOUTS:
Dump stations are provided for emptying of waste. Everyone must use chemicals in their holding tanks. Be considerate of others when dumping. Avoid dumping at meal times etc.
Clean up after yourself.
A waste pick up service is provided by the park on a per-needed or seasonal basis. See office for details.        
We cannot empty Johnny Carts, only the holding tanks on the R.V.
Please be advised, there are some lots we cannot pump out, we will advise you.
Schedule and pay for all pump outs at the office. Pump outs are typically done on Mondays. Emergency Pump outs are available. See office for details.

FIRES:
Fire rings are to remain where found on sites. If you desire to move the ring, you must get permission from the office and repair the spot where the old ring was located.
No wood from Michigan is permitted in the park. No burning of garbage per Medina County Health Department.
No cans or bottles in rings.
Be considerate of your neighbors when burning. No one wants to breathe noxious smoke (plastic/trash).
Maintain size of fire.
Do not leave fires unattended.
A metal can is by the trash area for cleaning out your rings. Please leave it by the yard waste trailer and we will dump it.

FISHING LAKE:
Fishing is catch and release only.
Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
Do not remove fish from the lake and put into the swimming lake.
Boats are available for rent. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
No gasoline engines are allowed on the lake.
Bait is available in the store.
No swimming in the fishing lake.
No pets allowed in the lake.
Life jackets are required at all times when boating.

GATE CARDS:  
A refundable deposit is required for each gate card issued. You will receive a refund when the card is returned. Two cards per site. Cards are for REGISTERED guests only. The entrance will be closed and locked when the office is closed. If you need to enter after hours, you are required to request a gate access card or push the call button between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 11 p.m. You are strictly prohibited from allowing anyone to use your gate card. (If a special situation occurs, please notify the office). All guests must be registered and pay visitors fee. Any violation of this policy will result in confiscation of gate cards and your deposit will not be refunded.

GOLF CARTS:
Your must be a seasonal camper, licensed driver age 18 and over to operate a golf cart in the campground. Golf carts may carry only the number of persons for which the cart was designed. All persons must be seated at all times while it is in motion. Lights, both front and rear, must be on if operating the cart after dark.  All golf carts must be registered at the office. Proof of liability insurance must be provided before the golf cart can be operated on the campground. Electric carts approved. No gas. Golf carts may not be used between the hours of 11PM and 6AM. Carts are to be driven on roads only. No carts in common areas. Drinking of alcoholic beverages while driving will not be allowed in any vehicle.

GRAY WATER:
Disposal of gray water can be provided with:
1) A pump out.       
2) Hauling, using your Johnny cart.
3) Or the use of a dry well, sometimes called a French drain.

A French drain is made by digging a large hole that fits a 5 gallon drum that has holes in it and is sunk in the ground and filled with gravel. You then attach a garden hose to your drain and run the hose into the well. It is important that only a garden hose goes to the well. Absolutely no Black (toilet) water is permitted. You must obtain permission from the office to do this. There are numerous electric and water lines that need to be avoided. It may be possible for a fee that a well can be provided. See office for details.

HAY RIDES:
Pick up and drop off of passengers will be at designated stops only -- these are located throughout the park. Children 5 and under must be accompanied by a responsible person. The wagon must be stopped before getting on or off. The driver has the authority to remove, reprimand or suspend a person?s riding privilege for unruly behavior. No smoking.

LAWN:

Seasonal campers are responsible for their lot maintenance: grass cutting and general clean up. A grass cutting service is provided, contact the office if needed.

LITTERING:
We despise littering. Littering will not be tolerated. Please make a special effort to talk with your children and help in this matter. Littering fines have been suggested but we don?t need the extra work. And yes, it is not just kids, Please Help.

PETS:
Two per camp site unless approved by the management. Please provide office with proof of immunization. A copy can be obtained from your veterinarian.
No Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, Chows, Doberman pinchers or any vicious breed.
Pet Insurance: Your home owner?s policy should have a section in it that covers your pet. Shawnee Lake Park is not responsible for pet occurrences or accidents. Pets are to be kept inside your trailer after 11PM.
Pet owners are responsible for picking up pet droppings and their pet?s behavior.
Park owners retain right to refuse admittance to any dog deemed a nuisance or which poses a hazard.                                 
Pets may be walked from 9am to dark. No night walking. 
No exotic pets.
All pets must be kept on a leash.
Pets are never to be left unattended.
Pet noise must be controlled.

Pets are not permitted on the beach, in the playgrounds, in any buildings, or in any of the lakes.
Any incidents, accidents or bites involving a pet must be immediately reported to the management.
Shawnee Lake Park is not responsible for pet occurrences. It is the sole responsibility of the pet owner.                        
Any pet that bites will be handed over to the Medina County Health Department for a mandatory 10 day observation.

PICNIC TABLES:
These are the property of the park, entrusted to you to, maintain and keep in good condition. Please do not abuse, carve, or write on.

QUIET TIME: Quiet hours are from 11pm to 9am and are strictly enforced. Foul language and or lous obnoxious behavior is not permitted. Anyone creating a disturbance or caught stealing will be instructed to leave the campground and may be subject to legal prosecution.

MEDINA COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT
Any campsite receiving a citation will be given a copy of that citation and must make the necessary changes within 14 days.

SECURITY GATE: The gate is fully operational 24 hours per day. You may always leave the campground by pulling up close to the exit gate which senses the metal in your vehicle and opens automatically. Only one vehicle may pass though the entrance gate at one time. Attempts to rush through more than one vehicle on one lift of the gate could result in damage to your vehicle or the gate. Cost to you of replacing a damaged gate will be assessed.


SELLING YOUR CAMPER:
  If you sell your trailer during camping season, you are given 2 weeks to replace your trailer. After this time the campsite reverts back to the campground and will be
remarketed. Seasonal camping is not prorated, if you sell or remove your trailer from the park, there are no refunds. We reserve the right to refuse resale of a trailer due to condition or past history. (See management with any questions). If you bring a new trailer into the campground, while your old one is still here, you must remove the old trailer immediately upon placement of your new trailer. If the trailer is not removed, you will be charged for two campsites or $10.00 per day storage fee which ever is applicable.


ADDITIONAL RULES FOR SELLING YOUR CAMPER

1. You must notify the campground when you are selling your RV. You must get permission from    the park to resale the RV within the campground.

2. RV’s over 25 years old must be approved by management to stay in the park.

3. Untitled RV’s will not be permitted in the park.

4. Okay to sell your RV in the park during open season. You must remove your camper if you want to sell it during off season.

5. Old RV’s currently in the park are grandfathered until the time that they sell.


SELLING YOUR CAMPER AFTER THE SEASON BEGINS:
If you sell your trailer and the buyers remove it from the campground, you shall have two weeks to put another trailer you own on the site. After two weeks, if this has not occurred, the site reverts back to the campground and will be remarketed. There is no sub-leasing of lots or trailers allowed.

SHED RULES:
1. Sizes 4x8ft. or 6x8 ft.
2. No home made sheds. Aluminum kit forms or Rubber maid only.
3. Must have a floor and be on skids for mobility.
4. Must be anchored down. No concrete is to be used
5. Park owners have final decision of placement on lot.
6. All sheds must be maintained properly. Campground owners will have full authority to condemn and eliminate any           shed not meeting park approval and specifications.
7. Not all lots are conducive to sheds, and some lots will not be permitted to have sheds

8. Locks must be placed on shed doors. Shawnee Lake Park is not responsible for your personal property which  been        stolen, lost or damaged.

SITE SHARING:
Overnight guests sleeping in a tent, trailer, or any vehicle other than the trailer registered on the site will be charged the full camping fee. Any overnight guest sleeping in your trailer will be charged overnight guest fee.

SPEED LIMIT
It is 5MPH. We have a lot of children in the park. Please be careful and obey the speed limit. Everyone has permission to tell people to
SLOWDOWN!

SWIM LAKE
Swimming is at your own risk.
Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
No diving is allowed
No Pushing or Shoving.
No swimming outside designated areas.
Absolutely no fishing in swimming lake.
No glass is permitted in swim area.
No pets allowed in the lake.                                                                                                 
No pets allowed on the swim beach.
No alcohol permitted in swim area.

TRASH:
Dumpsters are at the lodge.
All trash must be in bags.
Leaves, grass clippings and tree branches can be put on the trailer by the dumpster. Bagging is unnecessary. Large objects are to be left next to the dumpster. No trash is to be dumped from outside the park. The trash cans located throughout the park are not to be used for your campsite waste.

Aluminum cans are being recycled There is a special drum for these located at the dumpsters and various places throughout the park.
On holiday weekends, please take as much trash to dumpsters as possible on Sunday night.

TREES:
No cutting of trees is permitted without permission from the office.
The park is not responsible for damage from falling trees or branches.
Do not nail or screw anything to the trees or their branches.
If you see a dangerous condition please advise the office. If we cannot take care of the problem right away upon your request we will move you to a temporarily to another lot.
If you need a branch cut, please submit a work request at the office.
All clothes lines must be taken down at the end of the season. No wire or cable allowed.

WINTER STORAGE AND LOT DEPOSIT:
You are welcome to store your trailer here for the winter. However, be advised that if the lot deposit is not paid, you will be responsible to ready your trailer for move and we will park it in the lodge parking area or other areas for the winter. (This also includes your other belongings ? shed etc. which must be removed from the property). The lot will then be marketed. Winter storage is October 16 to April 30.  Lot deposit secures your lot until May 1st. After May 1st, the $10.00 a day storage fee goes in to effect and we reserve the right to move the trailer and market the lot.

WORK REQUESTS:
Please submit all work requests to the office in writing. Your written request will be prioritized and taken care of in a timely manner.

VISITORS:
All visitors are required to pay admission at the office. Day and Night Fee for visitors who slipped in without payment will be tripled when caught. Entering without registering will be considered trespassing.

ABANDONMENT
A. Vehicles. In season, any vehicle left unoccupied, on an unpaid site, without prior written authorization from Camp Operator will be deemed to have been abandoned. Any vehicle not removed from the park within 48 hours after the last day of the season, without prior written authorization from Camp Operator, will be deemed to be abandoned. Campsite user understands that any abandoned vehicle or vehicles can and will be towed to a storage facility on premises, at the expense of the campsite user, campsite user further understands that any titled vehicle will be disposed of at campsite user?s cost. Camp Operator reserves the right to dispose of the vehicle in any way it deems appropriate including but not limited to the following options:
1. If the vehicle has been unoccupied for 5 consecutive days after the term defined in the Campsite Use Agreement expires, the Camp Operator may file an action to seizure of the remaining property with appropriate municipal court pursuant of ORC 37733.082. The campsite User shall remove all property and answer within 7 days after service of said actions. Failure to do so will result in the court either issuing an order authorizing the sheriff, another peace officer, or a bailiff to remove the property from the campsite and place it in storage or authorizing the Camp Operator to seize the property and cause issuance to the Camp Operator of a new certification title for the property if the property is a titled vehicle.
2. Once the vehicles in the storage facility for at least 15 days, the Camp Operator may obtain a certificate of title so long as the value of the property after the deducting of storage and clean up fees are less then $2500.00, pursuant to ORC 4504.01.

13. Other Property. Any property left at the campsite upon the conclusion. of the Campsite Use Agreement term, including but not limited to sheds, porches, or personal items inside the vehicle, will be deemed abandoned. Campsite User hereby acknowledge, and consents to Camp Operator disposing of any personal property left behind in any manner Camp Operator sees fit at Campsite User?s cost.
Tow Away Zone: Shawnee Lake Park Campground (located at 6464 Congress Road, Spencer, Ohio 44275) is a private tow away zone,
3. Storage Fees: Any vehicle abandoned on the campground will be assessed storage fees, which are to be calculated from the day of abandonment. The fees will be $10.00 per day.
4. Acknowledgment and release Campsite User hereby acknowledges that the campground and cabin area are natural habitats and many obvious and hidden dangers including but not limited to falling limbs, poison icy, sun exposure, and animals, both natural and domestic. Despite these dangers, Campsite User hereby accepts the risks. Further Campsite User hereby releases Shawnee Lake Park Campground its shareholders, and management for any present or future claims, INCLUDING A CLAIM FOR NEGLIGENCE, to property damage, personal injury or death arising from my
participation in the camping activity.

All persons entering park do so at their own risk. Shawnee Lake Park, nor the owners and management will be responsible for damage, injury or loss incurred by negligence, accident, theft, or fire to either property or person while using any of the facilities herein. The campground or it?s agents shall not be liable for any damages or injuries caused by ice, wind, tornado, flood, fire, theft, vandalism or any other cause whatsoever. Shawnee Lake Park and its owners and managers reserve the right to be the sole interpretation of these rules and regulation. These rules and regulations may be amended in whole or in part at anytime without prior notice. By signing the registration and paying the fee to enter the campground the management assumes you will read and abide by the above rules.
